The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is turning to the public for help identifying a vehicle that struck and injured a pedestrian in a parking lot in Sahali.
On Friday February 6, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m. two pedestrians were walking in a parking lot of the 1200-block of Summit Drive. A light-coloured SUV allegedly drove past the pair rather closely and in response to the near miss one of the pedestrians waved their hands up into the air. The vehicle circled the lot again coming very close to them. On the third lap the driver allegedly struck one of the pedestrians causing serious but non-life-threatening injuries. During the incident the driver of the vehicle shouted out at the pedestrians.
“Police are seeking witnesses and video relating to this incident,” said Corporal Dana Napier, Kamloops RCMP Spokesperson. “Anyone who may have been in the area and saw this or who may have video of the area during that time is asked to please contact police.”
This file remains under investigation and police are asking the public to come forward with any information they may have by calling the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) and cite file 2026-3870.
