The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is seeking assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an indecent act investigation.
On Friday May 29, 2026, just before 11:30 a.m., a woman was shopping at a thrift store located in the 900-block of Columbia Street West. She felt someone staring at her and turned to observe a male allegedly masturbating in the aisle near her. When the suspect realized the woman had seen him, he fled.
“To date, police have been unable to identify the male and are now releasing a photo to further the investigation,” states S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet of the Kamloops RCMP.
The male is described as Caucasian, approximately 30-years of age, 6 feet tall, with brown hair, a short, dark, beard and medium build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a floral button up shirt and gold rimmed sunglasses. He was seen leaving the parking lot in a late model, silver Honda Civic.
