The Kamloops RCMP Detachment Crime Reduction Unit seized firearm components and recovered a stolen motorcycle as part of a search warrant that was executed in Aberdeen.
On July 23, 2026, the Kamloops RCMP Detachment CRU executed a search warrant in the 2100-block of Sifton Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation related to alleged possession and production of prohibited firearm components.
As a result of the search, investigators seized a variety of items including, ammunition, 3D printed licence plates, firearm barrels, suppressors, firearm slides, body armour, along with police patches. Additionally, CRU recovered a motorcycle that had been reported stolen.
“This investigation demonstrates the Crime Reduction Unit’s commitment to disrupting the manufacturing and possession of firearm components in our community,” said Superintendent Jeff Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment. “The seizure of these items, along with the recovery of a stolen motorcycle is working toward reducing the potential risk to public safety and supports ongoing enforcement efforts targeting those allegedly involved in serious criminal activity.”
One person was found in the residence was briefly detained and released. However, the investigation continues in relation to the owner of the home. As the investigation remains ongoing no further details will be released at this time.
