Quotes

I am pleased to introduce and welcome Staff Sergeant Trevor Busch as the newly appointed Detachment Commander of the Ladysmith RCMP. S/Sgt. Busch brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the values that make Ladysmith such a strong and connected community. As he steps into this role, he will be focused on strengthening relationships, fostering community engagement, and ensuring that the RCMP continues to provide the highest level of service. With his promotion and transition into this leadership role, I am confident that both the detachment and the community will benefit from his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public safety. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Corporal Tracy Dubnyk for acting in this Detachment Commander role for 11 months and doing an incredible job in supporting this community

Chief Superintendent Bruce Singer, RCMP Island District Commander

My family and I fell in love with Ladysmith when we moved back to Vancouver Island in 2018 and I began working in the Cowichan Valley. We have enjoyed living here for the last six and a half years while I commuted to work in Duncan. This is an amazing community for raising a family and we love the community spirit here the most. I am very excited that I now have the opportunity to work in Ladysmith and serve the community that I also call home. When I first arrived at the detachment, I was immediately impressed with the skill and professionalism demonstrated by the members and staff here, which fuels my excitement even more to work here.
