On November 14, 2025, approximately 7:22 p.m., Langley RCMP was called to a two-vehicle hit and run collision involving an unmarked Abbotsford Police vehicle. An on-duty Abbotsford officer was driving in the 5200 block of 264th Street in Langley, when they had a collision with a white GMC Canyon pickup truck. The truck had two occupants that fled on foot from the scene after the collision.

Officers from both the Langley RCMP and Abbotsford Police Department attended the collision to assist to the officer who was injured. The officer sustained minor injuries and is expected to be released from hospital shortly. Police are still attempting to identify and locate the people involved in the crash to ensure their wellbeing.

“The Langley RCMP is leading the investigation and have enlisted the assistance of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS), to assist in determining the cause of the collision,” says Cpl. Brett Urano RCMP spokesperson. “We are requesting anyone who may have been driving in the area with dash cam footage or had witnessed the crash or know who was in the vehicle but have not yet spoken to police to call the Langley RCMP. The investigation is in its infancy and on going.”

Langley RCMP would like to thank all first responders who attended the collision and have assisted thus far in the investigation. Additionally, the area around 264th Street and Highway 1 will have major delays due to road closures for the investigation. You can reach the Langley RCMP with any information at 604-532-3200.
