Langley RCMP investigating targeted shooting

On May 16, 2026, at approximately 12:32 p.m., Langley RCMP responded to an assault incident in the 5400 block of Brydon Crescent, Langley.

Frontline officers attended the scene and located the victim and evidence consistent with a shooting. A 27-year-old man has been transported to a local area hospital for further assessment.

“The investigation is still in its early stages and Police are working to determine the possible motive for the shooting,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “At this time, the incident appears to be targeted, and there is no ongoing risk to the public.”

Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the 5400 block of Brydon Crescent between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m., is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file 2026-14997.
