Fatal motor vehicle collision under investigation in Langley

On May 24, 2026, at approximately 1:57 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision in the 20200 block of 48 Avenue, Langley.

Emergency crews from the Township of Langley Fire Department, British Columbia Ambulance Service, and Langley RCMP attended the scene.

“Sadly, despite the rapid response and efforts of first responders, one individual was pronounced deceased at the scene,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being examined, and investigators are working to determine the factors involved.”

The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been deployed to assist with the investigation.

Anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision and witnessed the incident, or who may have dash camera footage, is asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2026-15907.
