On June 4, 2026, at approximately 4:14 p.m., members of the Langley RCMP Special Response Team conducted a targeted traffic stop in the 5700 block of Glover Road after observing a vehicle driving erratically, repeatedly failing to maintain its lane and coming dangerously close to striking a curb.

During the interaction with the driver, officers observed items consistent with drug trafficking inside the vehicle. All four occupants of the vehicle were arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a significant and concerning cache of contraband, including:

  • Over 1 kilogram of suspected cocaine
  • A quantity of drug packaging materials
  • Bear spray
  • A large hunting knife
  • An imitation handgun

All four occupants have been released while the investigation continues, as the seized items are undergoing comprehensive analysis and examination, the results of which are required before proceeding further.

“This seizure highlights the proactive and targeted work of our officers in identifying and disrupting suspected drug trafficking activity in our community,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “The significant quantity of suspected drugs and presence of weapons is deeply concerning and underscores the risks associated with this type of criminal activity. Our priority remains the safety of the public, and we will continue to take decisive action to remove these threats from our streets.”

If you see suspicious activity or have information related to drug trafficking, we strongly encourage you to report it to your local police.
