Langley RCMP is providing an update to the fatal collision that occurred on May 16, 2026, on Fraser Highway between 232 Street and 240 Street.
On May 16, 2026, an elderly Langley man came forward to investigators and identified himself as the driver of the vehicle believed to be involved in this collision.
Since that time, investigators have continued to gather and assess evidence in relation to the incident. “As the investigation progresses, we are working to corroborate the sequence of events that led to this tragic outcome,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.
Investigators are now seeking to identify and speak with the driver of a white SUV that was observed in the area at the time of the collision. Police are hopeful the driver may have dash camera footage or may have witnessed the incident, which could assist investigators in determining what occurred.
Anyone with information, including the driver of the white SUV or anyone with dash camera footage who was travelling along Fraser Highway between 232 Street and 240 Street at approximately 4:40 a.m. on May 16, 2026, is asked to contact Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2026-14967.
