Missing cliff diver on Seton Lake located deceased

The remains of the missing cliff diver on Seton Lake have been found.
On June 29, 2025 Lillooet RCMP responded to a report of man, who had jumped off a cliff on Seton Lake and had not re-surfaced.
An extensive search was conducted by Lillooet RCMP, Lillooet Rescue, and British Columbia RCMP Underwater Recovery Team; however, the man was not located.
On July 7, 2025 the RCMP National Underwater Recovery Team conducted a search of Seton Lake and recovered the missing man. The British Columbia Coroner Service confirmed the identity of the missing man. His death is not believed to be suspicious.
The Lillooet RCMP would like to thank BC Ambulance, Lillooet Rescue, Underwater Recovery Team, the National Underwater Recovery Team and the public for their efforts in locating the man.
Our thoughts are with the man’s loved ones at this difficult time.
The Lillooet RCMP are asking the public to use extreme caution when participating in water activities and follow water-safety best practices.
