On November 24, 2025, at 8:56 a.m., Lillooet RCMP responded to a serious motor vehicle incident about 14 km north of Lytton, BC. Two trucks collided on the highway, and the highway will now be closed until further notice for the investigation and to allow first responders to render aid.
The occupants of the trucks have suffered serious injuries and officers are working hard to determine the cause of the incident.
“Our investigation is in its infancy and investigators are trying to determine the cause of incident. We ask the public for patience as we work to help those involved,” says Cpl. Brett Urano BC RCMP spokesperson. “We request the public to plan alternate route and to check DriveBC for updates on when the highway will reopen.”
