On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, shortly before 8:30 pm, Lissims/ Nass Valley RCMP received a report of an injured hunter with a guided hunt.
When police contacted Search & Rescue (SAR), they were already aware and, along with Emergency Health Services, were aware and taking the necessary steps.
Time of day and weather hampered initial rescue efforts and SAR spent the night on the mountain with the injured parties.
During daylight, multiple attempts were made with the assistance of Canadian Helicopters, to reach the injured person, but weather prevented all rescue attempts. With a break in the weather Yellow Head Helicopter was able to reach the group.
The victim, an adult man was taken to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
