Unwanted persons Nanaimo file # 2025-30332 Around 8 AM on September 19, 2025, a security guard reported a group of ten unhoused persons gathering around a garbage dump and refusing to leave the area. After getting out of the vehicle, she heard a popping sound and watched in horror as her father's vehicle rolled down the driveway and smashed into a neighbor's retaining wall. Nanaimo Fire and Rescue attended and said it appeared the impact caused minimal damage to the wall. The vehicle involved did not fare so well and needed to be towed out.
