File # 2025-6185

A man wanted for a sexual assault allegation has been arrested.

On April 1, 2025, a man wanted on an Ontario criminal warrant was arrested by Kelowna RCMP. The BC RCMP Fugitive Return Program worked in partnership with the Niagara Police Service Human Trafficking Unit, the Niagara Crown Attorney’s Office and the Ontario Provincial Human Trafficking Prosecution Team to extend their Ontario warrants to BC. In collaboration with the Kelowna RCMP, the BC Prosecution Service, and the BC Sheriff Service, the man was successfully arrested and returned to Ontario for prosecution.

Colin Bayley, 36-years-old, is facing a sexual assault charge.

Bayley was held in custody and returned to Ontario on April 5, 2025. The BC Sheriff Service facilitated the escort back to Ontario.

The BC Fugitive Return Program appreciates the consideration and efforts of all the police and partner agencies involved to coordinate and apprehend this offender to face his charges. His arrest and return were seamless and great work by all agencies involved.

If you know of a crime or a wanted person please contact your local police.
