A drug trafficking investigation lead by the RCMP’s Federal Policing Pacific Region (FPPR) Drugs and Organized Crime Team in Kelowna, resulted in arrests, along with seizure of illicit drugs, cash, unstamped tobacco and firearms.
In 2024, FPPR officers began an investigation into drug trafficking in the Southeast District (SED). On December 17, 2025, with assistance from Kelowna, West Kelowna and Penticton RCMP Detachments, as well as specialized sections including the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) and Emergency Response Team, investigators executed search warrants on two vehicles and three residences, in Kelowna and Penticton, BC.
While executing the search warrants, the following items were seized:
- 29 kg of Methamphetamine
- 18 kg of Cocaine
- 4 kg of Fentanyl
- 8500 Xanax pills
- 50.5 litres of suspected GHB
- $240,000 cash
- Various smaller amounts of other drugs
- 5 cartons of unstamped tobacco
- Stolen rifle
- Prohibited handgun
Four individuals were arrested and subsequently released pending further investigation.
“This enforcement action represents a significant disruption to an organized crime group trafficking illicit drugs in the Southeast District, removing a significant quantity of dangerous drugs and firearms from our communities,” said Staff Sergeant Trent Marshall, Acting Officer in Charge of Drugs and Organized Crime in Kelowna.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
