A man has been arrested and held in custody after failing to stop for an attempted traffic stop on the Alaska Highway near Fort Nelson, B.C.
On June 29, 2026, just after 11:00 p.m., an officer with the Northern Rockies RCMP was conducting patrols on the Alaska Highway, south of Fort Nelson when a red All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) was observed driving on the roadway.
