One person identified in connection with a shots fired investigation

Northern Rockies RCMP received several tips from the public and a suspect has been identified in connection with the shots fired investigation from January 19, 2026. Original release 2026-01-19

As a result of the information received, Northern Rockies RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Fort Nelson First Nation on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

A 28 year old Fort Nelson man, who is known to police, was arrested in connection with this investigation. He has been released and is scheduled to appear in provincial court on April 23, 2026.

No further details are available at this time. More information may be released as it becomes available.
