Recovered Stolen Jayco Travel Trailer Returned to Owner

A 32 foot Jayco travel trailer, which had been stolen overnight from the Campbell River area, was recovered in Whiskey Creek which is between Qualicum and Port Alberni.

The owner spotted his own trailer travelling southbound on the Inland Hwy being towed by an unknown F350.  Oceanside detachment members made patrols and successfully located the trailer on the Alberni Hwy and arrested all 4 occupants.  One of the occupants, a 50 year old male, had two outstanding warrants for break and enter and failing to appear for his scheduled court appearance and was held in custody to appear in court.  

The trailer had a estimated replacement value of $80,000 and has been returned to the rightful owner. 

All remaining occupants have been provided a court date with charges of Possession Stolen Property over $5000.
