Man and woman face charges after police locate stolen property during search warrant.
On April 15, 2025, Oliver RCMP, RCMP Crime Reduction Unit and RCMP Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a residence on Road 15 in Oliver, BC, in relation to stolen property. During the search, officers recovered two stolen motorcycles, stolen construction material, farming equipment, a firearm and ammunition.
Two residents of the property have now been charged. 48 year-old, David James O’Brien and 36 year-old Yanni Gagnon face charges for possession of stolen property. O’Brien faces further charges for possession of ammunition while prohibited under the Criminal Code.
“This property is well known to police”, states Sgt Laurie Rock, Area Commander of the Oliver RCMP. “The South Okanagan RCMP Detachments continue to tackle property crime in the area and will use all measures available to us to bring those responsible before the courts”.
