Penticton RCMP investigating overnight assault on school grounds

Penticton RCMP is seeking witnesses following an alleged assault that occurred overnight on school grounds.

On July 18, 2026 shortly before 11 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault at Queens Park Elementary. Two people, including one youth, were taken to hospital for treatment.

The investigation is in its early stage; however, police believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to public safety. No further details will be released at this time.
