Missing Persons – Jahmai Nathan Joe and Joshua Gates

Terrace RCMP is asking the public to keep a watch out for 15-year-old Jahmai Nathan Joe and 16-year-old Joshua Gates, who may be traveling together between the Kitimat and Terrace areas. 

Jahmai was last seen in Terrace just before 5:00 p.m., on July 19, 2026, on the 4600-block of Lakelse Avenue. Investigators have information that places Joshua in Terrace on July 14, 2026, though there have been no confirmed sightings of him. Both youths are originally from the Oak Bay, B.C. area.

Description of Jahmai Nathan Joe:

• Indigenous male
• 15 years old
• 5 ft 8 in (176 cm)
• 161 lbs (73 kg)
• Black hair, worn in dreadlocks
• Brown eyes

He was last seen wearing: 

• All black clothing
• Black hooded sweatshirt
• Khaki boots

Description of Joshua Gates: 

• 16 years old
• 5 ft 10 in (178 cm)
• 141 lbs (64 kg)
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes
• Unknown last clothing description
• May be associated to a blue Honda Civic with B.C. license plate A537SM

Police and family are concerned for the boys’ well being. Investigators are reaching out to the public for assistance in locating Jahmai Nathan Joe and Joshua Gates and are asking that if anyone sees either individual, they call the Terrace RCMP non-emergency line at 250-638-7400 to report it to a police officer or anonymously through Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
