Investigation into a report of a suspicious death continues

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Prince Rupert RCMP received a report of an assault. An elderly man, who suffered significant injuries, was found lying on the side road.

The victim was found approximately 6:00 am and taken to the Klemtu Clinic for medical treatment. The man was then transported to Bella Bella Hospital where, sadly he was deceased later that same day.

While the investigation continues into the cause of death, RCMP do not believe there to be a risk to the general public. Anyone with information is asked to call Cpl Michael Lee at 778-290-2563.
