Quadra Island RCMP identify shoplifting suspect with help of the public

On March 27th Quadra Island RCMP provided a media release regarding an incident of shoplifting at the Tru Value grocery store in Quathiaski Cove. Staff at that location reported that in the evening of March 26th, an unknown woman had stolen a mickey of Fireball and various groceries. Staff also provided photos of the suspect in hopes of identifying her.
Since the release, the Quadra Island RCMP has been inundated with tips and information from the public regarding the possibly identity of the suspect. Later that day, the individual turned herself in to the police. The woman also went to the grocery store to apologize for her actions and to provide her contact information to them as well. The individual has been fully cooperative with all parties.
The Quadra Island RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance as the information provided was invaluable in solving this case.
