Richmond RCMP seeking witnesses or dash cam footage for alleged robbery.
On April 8, 2025 a Richmond RCMP frontline officer on routine patrol was waived down by a man who reported he had been robbed. The victim stated the incident had occurred at approximately 6:00 p.m. at the corner of Shell Road and Alderbridge Way.
The victim advised he was driving home when a blue Chevy Silverado with Alberta plates rear ended his black 2018 Mercedes. The victim said as he was exiting his vehicle the other driver exited the truck and allegedly threatened him before punching him in the face.
The victim advised he took out his phone to start filming the interaction but the suspect took it from him and then left in his truck.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 6’3, wearing a baseball cap and spoke with a British Accent. He was last seen driving away Southbound on Shell Road.
“This is a busy intersection with high vehicle traffic at 6 p.m. We believe someone may have witnessed this interaction or recorded it on their dash cam,” says Corporal Adriana O’Malley, Richmond RCMP Media Relations Officer.
Anyone who may have witnessed, or have dash cam footage of this incident, is asked to call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 and quote file number 2025-10886. Should you wish to remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit them online at www.solvecrime.ca.
