Suspect arrested in alleged homicide

On July 18, 2025, at approximately 10:40 a.m., Richmond RCMP officers responded to a report of a serious incident at a residential unit in the 8600 block of Capstan Way. Upon arrival, a female victim was located and transported to hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

A male suspect has been arrested.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called in and will be assuming conduct of the investigation. IHIT will provide further details when available.

There is no ongoing risk to public safety.
