History of Ridge Meadows RCMP

Here is a brief history of the evolution of policing in Ridge Meadows.

Below is a picture of Chief Constable Edwin Pope on a horse, sole policeman in Maple Ridge from 1890's to 1921.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police took over policing in British Columbia in 1950 just after the opening of this new police station.

This is the first police car to arrive in Haney.
