Ridge Meadows RCMP investigating shots fired in Maple Ridge

On February 7, 2026, at approximately 4:45am, Ridge Meadows RCMP responded to a report of shots fired and vehicles on fire in the 12700 block of 227B Street, Maple Ridge.
Officers arrived and observed two vehicles on fire in the driveway of a residence in the area, along with evidence of shots being fired at the residence.
The occupants of the residence were promptly evacuated, and Maple Ridge Fire & Rescue attended to extinguish the fire. No injuries were sustained by any of the occupants of the home.
Ridge Meadows RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit has conduct of the investigation which is ongoing and in the early stages.
Officers are reviewing video surveillance in the area and speaking with any witnesses to identify possible suspects or suspect vehicles. All avenues of investigation are being explored, and officers are not ruling anything out at this time.
