Lakeshore Rd: At 10:58pm Salmon Arm RCMP observed a dark coloured Ford F-150 travelling with no tail lights. A traffic stop was conducted, and the 42 year old driver was confirmed to have an invalid driver’s license. While speaking to the driver, police could smell alcohol coming from the driver who claimed to have one beer about 30 minutes earlier. A breath demand was conducted, and the driver blew a “fail.” The driver exercised his right to a second test and again blew a “fail.” The driver was prohibited from driving for 90 days, despite already having an invalid driver’s license, and the vehicle was impounded for 30 days. The matter was referred to RoadSafetyBC.

Salmon Arm: At 1:20pm Salmon Arm RCMP attended a residence and spoke with a realtor who said they arrived at the property for a scheduled house showing for a potential buyer. The realtor knocked on the door and did not get an answer. The realtor used her key to enter the residence and began showing the residence. The realtor and client went into the bedroom and found a man believed to be asleep. The realtor and client exited the residence, and the realtor contacted the listing agent to try and get a hold of the property owner. The listing agent was unable to reach the property owner. The realtor entered the home again to wake the property owner and found they were not asleep but deceased. There were no signs of violence, and nothing suspicious. The property owner was believed to have died of natural causes. The matter was referred to the Coroners Service.

Salmon Arm: A man reported someone broke into a residential construction site and stole an estimated $20 000 worth of tools overnight. Police attended where it appeared the majority of tools were moved through an unfinished window opening. Some tools were recovered in a bush near the entrance to the property. There were no witnesses, no suspects, no video surveillance in the area and no suitable surfaces for forensics. Police checked several known locations to try to locate the stolen tools, but none were found. “This is a reminder to all local construction businesses that if you cannot secure your tools inside overnight, they should be packed up and removed from site,” stated media relations officer Cst. Andrew Hodges of the Salmon Arm RCMP.

Okanagan Ave: At 9:40am Salmon Arm RCMP were on pro-active patrol and saw a Honda CRV recognized to be stolen in November 2025, and the suspect vehicle in several other offences across the Okanagan since then. The officer drove past the vehicle and saw a male driver and female passenger. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed, and the initial officer lost contact but informed all other on-duty officers of the direction of travel of the vehicle. Another officer spotted the vehicle on Okanagan Ave, which turned left onto 29th St NE, where one male and two females were observed jumping out of the vehicle and running away. After a brief foot pursuit, a lone officer was able to locate and arrest one female. As other officers arrived on scene the suspect vehicle was no longer there, it was believed one of the outstanding suspects returned and drove away. Police Dog Services was engaged. While holding the scene one officer spotted the male suspect running though yards near 23rd St SE. A second officer heard over the radio the suspects location and engaged in a lengthy foot pursuit, where the suspect eventually jumped over some bushes and fell down, where he was then arrested. The male was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime, and also had several known outstanding warrants. The man was held for a bail hearing to appear before a judge. The Honda CRV was recovered unoccupied two days later.
