Smithers RCMP, along with a local partner agency, are requesting the public’s assistance in confirming the well-being of Mitchell Turchyniak. At this time, the photograph that is available is approximately 13 years old. Police are requesting the public’s help from anyone who may know how to connect officers with Mitchell Turchyniak or his family. Our priority is to confirm that Mitchell is safe and well.

Mitchell is described as:

  • 49 years old
  • Caucasian male
  • 5’8” (173 cm) tall
  • 154 lbs (70 kg)
  • Brown hair
  • Blue eyes

Police have been actively attempting to locate Mitchell, but despite ongoing efforts, he has not been found. Attempts to contact or locate family members have also been unsuccessful.

Smithers RCMP and our community partner remain concerned for Mitchell’s well-being and are asking for the public’s assistance in confirming his safety.
