Sooke RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision in the 5500 block of Sooke Road Wednesday afternoon that partially blocked traffic.
On April 29, 2026 at approximately 10:40 am, Sooke RCMP were notified of a single vehicle rollover in the westbound lane of Sooke Road. Sooke RCMP, along with the Sooke Fire Department and EHS responded to the scene with the Fire Service extracting the occupants from the vehicle. Once the vehicle was cleared, the roadway was opened again for both east and westbound traffic. Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be a factor in the collision.
A 59 year old man and a 44 year old man were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is still ongoing and the Sooke RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dashcam video to contact the Sooke RCMP at 250-642-5241.
