The Sea to Sky RCMP- Squamish would like to commend a local resident for their honesty and community spirit after returning a lost wallet to police.

On March 29, 2025, a Good Samaritan found a wallet in the Squamish area and promptly turned it in to the RCMP detachment. Officers were able to contact the owner, who was grateful to have their belongings returned. In appreciation, the wallet's owner offered a reward to the individual who found it.

"We always encourage people to do the right thing, and it's great to see this act of integrity recognized," said Cst. Kelly Wu, Sea to Sky RCMP - Squamish. "This is a great example of the strong sense of community we have here in Squamish."

The RCMP reminds the public that found property can be turned in at the local detachment, and efforts will be made to return lost items to their rightful owners.

Anyone with lost or found property inquiries can contact Sea to Sky RCMP- Squamish at 604-892-6100.
