Suspicious Bottle Located in Sechelt

On September 14, 2025, police were called to the 5600 block of Hightide in Sechelt, BC, after a resident reported finding what appeared to be a Molotov-Type object.

Police attended and located a bottle containing what is believed to be a petroleum-based liquid. The matter is being treated as suspicious. 

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, or who saw someone discarding an item matching this description, to contact the Sunshine Coast RCMP.

Sunshine Coast RCMP are reminding the public that if you come across a suspicious item, or something you are unsure about, it is always the safest to leave it where it is and call police right away.
