University RCMP attend a sudden death

University RCMP responded on the evening of February 12, 2026, to a report of a sudden death in the 6100 block of University Boulevard in Vancouver.

Officers attended with other first responders located a person with severe injuries. Life saving measures were taken but despite everyones best efforts the person was declared deceased. Police have determined the circumstances surrounding the death are not criminal in nature.

The BC Coroners Service has now taken conduct of the investigation to determine the cause of death. University RCMP is supporting the Coroners Service as required.

No further details will be released by police.
