A BC Highway Patrol officer snagged three suspects following a break and enter in the Falkland area yesterday.
On Tuesday, March 24th, 2026, at approximately 7:25 a.m., the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP received a report of a break and enter in progress at a residence on Douglas Lake Road near Westwold. The property owner received an alert on their security system and when they checked the video surveillance, they saw two suspects hop a fence, cut a lock, and enter a building on the property.
The homeowner provided police with descriptions of the suspects as well as their vehicle. A BC Highway Patrol officer in the area located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop with it. The occupants were arrested, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of stolen property, which was returned to the owner.
The three individuals were later released from custody pending further investigation.
