On December 23, 2025, at approximately 7:49 p.m., West Shore RCMP Frontline officers responded to reports of shots fired on Fulton Road near Betula Place in Colwood, BC.
Witnesses reported that shots had been fired from one vehicle towards another vehicle, striking the driver, a 34-year-old man, who was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and that there is no increased risk to the greater public. The investigation is being conducted by West Shore RCMP Serious Crimes Unit. West Shore RCMP Police Dog Services and Forensic Identification Services also attended the scene.
Police are asking that if residents in the area have home surveillance or if anybody driving in the area has dash camera footage from December 23, 2025, between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to call at 250-474-2264 as you may have captured images that could assist the investigators.
Anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police is also asked to call the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
