Keep in Touch (KIT) Program - West Shore RCMP
The Keep in Touch (KIT) Program is run through the West Shore RCMP Detachment’s Community Policing Section. Its purpose is to contact various elderly clients within the West Shore area who live on their own and do not have any family or close friends to check on them regularly. The KIT Program volunteers reach out by phone to their clients Monday to Saturday in the mornings.
The KIT Program is overseen by a police officer from the West Shore RCMP Detachment and staffed by volunteers. The KIT Program is essential in ensuring our elderly clients are monitored and safe in their own homes. This allows them to continue to live independently.
