Dauphin RCMP search for attempted robbery suspect

On February 10, 2025, at approximately 11:30am, Dauphin RCMP received a report of an attempted robbery at a business on 1st Avenue, NE in Dauphin.
When officers arrived on scene they were advised by an employee that a lone male had entered the store, waited for other customers to leave, before presenting the clerk with a note stating that he had a bomb. The note also asked the employee to not press the panic button, and demanded cash.
The suspect fled on foot with nothing, and there were no injuries.
Officers began patrols immediately but were not able to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as wearing a black face covering, black hoodie, grey pants, and possibly black Converse shoes.
