Thompson RCMP investigate stabbing

On February 4, 2025, at approximately 9:30 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence on Ashberry Place.

Officers quickly arrived on scene and were met by two unknown males outside, one with injuries to his face. Once inside, officers located a male that had been stabbed multiple times. The victim was able to advise that a male suspect without a shirt had fled the building.

Officers attended to the injured male, until Emergency Medical Personal arrived on scene.

Police outside the building spotted a shirtless male around the side of the residence and were able to arrest him without incident on scene.

After an initial investigation, five suspects were arrested on scene including two females (ages 18, and 41) and three males (ages 18,21, and 42) all from Thompson. All suspects are known to each other.

The 35-year-old victim, also from Thompson, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
