Ongoing drug investigations in Flin Flon lead to the seizure of drugs, cash and firearms

On April 17, 2025, as a result of an ongoing investigation into the trafficking of drugs in Flin Flon, RCMP officers from the Manitoba North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), the Manitoba Integrated Law Enforcement Team (MILET) and the Flin Flon RCMP executed a search warrant at a home located on Centennial Crescent.
As a result of this search, officers seized approximately 112 grams of cocaine, a large amount of Canadian currency, numerous firearms and other drug-related paraphernalia.
RCMP arrested a 60-year-old male and a 54-year-old female on scene who were later released from police custody for a court appearance scheduled for August 8, 2025, in Flin Flon.
On April 17, 2025, in a separate ongoing investigation, RCMP then attended to an apartment located on Hill Street where another search warrant was executed.
As a result of this search, officers seized approximately 110 grams of cocaine, a large amount of Canadian currency, illicit tobacco and other drug-related paraphernalia.
RCMP arrested three subjects within the residence, two males (39, 33) and a 20-year-old female.
The 39-year-old male, Shayne Shatilla, was remanded into custody on charges of Possession of Proceeds of Crime and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
The 20-year-old female was later released from police custody for a court appearance scheduled for August 8, 2025, in Flin Flon. The 33-year-old male was released without charge.
RCMP continue to investigate.
