Pembina Valley RCMP make arrest after string of commercial break-ins

Pembina Valley RCMP have arrested a male suspect involved in four break and enters at various businesses in Carman, Manitoba.

  • On May 4, 2025, at 1:30 am, two suspects broke a window at a business on Main Street but left the scene before entering.
  • On June 1, 2025, at approximately 1:15 am, officers responded to a report of break-in at a business on 1st Street SW.  When officers arrived, the door had been damaged, and an undisclosed amount of cash had been stolen.
  • On June 2, 2025, at approximately 1:00 am, officers attended a business on 4th Avenue SW after a report of an alarm. A glass door had been smashed, and a golf club used in the break-in was left behind. Alcohol was stolen off the premises.
  • On June 3, 2025, at approximately 2:00 am, officers attended a break-and-enter in progress at the same business on 1st Street SW. Officers, along with RCMP Police Dog Services (PDS), attended but were unable to locate the suspect after he fled on foot.

After reviewing video surveillance, Pembina Valley RCMP were able to identify a suspect. Officers, with assistance from PDS, and the Manitoba RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) arrested 30-year-old Toban Roulette of Winnipeg, at a residence in Carman.

Roulette has been charged with the following: Mischief Under $5000, Break and Enter x4, and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purposes. He has been remanded into custody.

Pembina Valley RCMP are still searching for a female suspect who was involved in some of the incidents.

The investigation continues.
