Dauphin RCMP make two arrests after traffic stop

Items seized by Dauphin RCMP

On August 29, 2025, at approximately 8:30 am, while on patrol on Main Street South, Dauphin RCMP located a vehicle driving with a stolen license plate.  A traffic stop was conducted, and the male and female occupants were arrested.

Officers then noted that the truck they were driving had been reported stolen. 

It was discovered both occupants had outstanding warrants of arrests. The male driver was also found to be driving without a driver’s license and was impaired by an illicit drug.

After a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers located two loaded firearms, drug paraphernalia, illicit drugs, and ammunition.  Both occupants were not lawfully able to possess firearms. 

Dustin Robertson, 32, from Gilbert Plains, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm X 2
  • Unsafe Storage of Firearm X 2
  • Weapons Possession Contrary to Order X 3
  • Fail to Comply Undertaking X 2
  • Drive without a valid license
  • Drive an Unregistered Vehicle
  • Drive a vehicle without motor vehicle liability insurance
  • Drive a vehicle with unauthorized numbers plates
  • Unlawful Transportation of Cannabis in a vehicle
  • As an unlicensed driver, operate a vehicle while being unable to pass a drug screening test

Shaunene Lefort-Lynx, 34, from Grandview, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm X 2
  • Unsafe Storage of Firearm X 2
  • Unlawful Transportation of Cannabis in a vehicle

Dauphin RCMP continue to investigate.
