Update - Thompson RCMP attempting to locate missing 20-year-old female

Update - The 20-year-old female who RCMP have been looking for was located safe today. Thompson RCMP would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance

On September 4, 2025, at 7:10 am, Thompson RCMP received a 911 hangup call from a cell phone located in the Fox Bay area of Thompson.
 
Officers attended to the area and spoke to several residents but could not substantiate what had occurred earlier that morning and could not locate the caller.

Investigators have been attempting to locate a 20-year-old female who may have information in relation to this incident but efforts to locate her have been negative. Her current whereabouts are unknown, but she may be in Pinaymootang First Nation.

RCMP are requesting assistance in locating Ciara Beardy, 20, as we now believe her to be missing.

She’s described as being 5’4”, 120lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. No clothing description is available.
