Update: Selkirk RCMP searching for armed robbery suspect

On October 9, 2025, Jorden Walker was arrested at a residence on Selkirk Avenue in Selkirk.

Walker was arrested without incident by the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU).

The Selkirk RCMP thank the public for their assistance.

On September 30, 2025, at 6:04 am, Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery by the riverbank of the Red River in East Selkirk, Manitoba.

When officers arrived on scene, they located two uninjured fishermen who explained a male suspect had stolen their vehicle while armed with a hatchet.

Upon further investigation, RCMP have issued a warrant of arrest for 34-year-old Jorden Walker.

The victims and the suspect were not known to each other.

Walker is facing the following charges:

  • Armed robbery
  • Uttering death threats
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
