Update – Dauphin RCMP investigating after multiple break ins at storage units

Update - November 28, 2025

 

On the evening of November 24, 2025, Dauphin RCMP attempted to complete a traffic stop on a pickup truck on Main Street South.

As soon as the officer activated the emergency lights, the suspect vehicle fled from police.

Through the ongoing investigation, officers learned the same pickup truck had been involved in the overnight break and enter at the storage facility on Whitmore Avenue on November 24, 2025.

Officers have since located two of the snowmobiles that were reported stolen, loaded onto one of the stolen trailer’s, in a field just southwest of Dauphin.

Dauphin RCMP are seeking assistance in locating a red or burnt orange colour Dodge pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Dauphin RCMP detachment at 204-622-5020.

On November 25, 2025, Dauphin RCMP received reports of multiple break-ins from a storage facility on Whitmore Avenue.

At approximately 9:00 am, RCMP were notified by owners of one of the storage units that three Polaris snowmobiles were missing from their unit. Later the same day, a report was also made regarding two missing utility trailers that were parked at the facility.

The investigation has determined that the thefts occurred sometime between 6:00 pm on November 24, 2025, and 8:00 am on November 25, 2025. It is believed that eight units were broken in to, and police are still working to compile a list of all items that were stolen.

Police have conducted extensive patrols but have yet to locate the snowmobiles or the trailers.

Dauphin RCMP are asking anyone that may have witnessed suspicious activity in or around that time in that area, to please contact the detachment at 204-622-5020.
