Thompson GIS search warrant leads to significant seizure of cocaine

On November 4, 2025, as a result of an ongoing drug investigation, Thompson RCMP’s General Investigative Section (GIS) and the Manitoba North District CREST unit, executed a search warrant at a residence located on Riverside Drive in the City of Thomspon.
As a result of this search, officers located and seized approximately 4.5 kilograms of cocaine, a large amount of Canadian currency, ammunition, several firearm magazines, several Rolex watches and other drug-related paraphernalia.
On November 5, RCMP arrested 27-year-old Steven Moorehead, of Thompson, and charged him with Possession for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of property obtained by crime, Weapons possession contrary to order x2 and several Fail to comply with release order conditions. He was remanded into custody.
On November 7, RCMP arrested 35-year-old Kristy Head, of Thompson, and charged her with Possession for the purpose of trafficking and Possession of property obtained by crime. She was remanded into custody.
RCMP continue to investigate.
