On December 3, 2025, the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU), an integrated team consisting of officers from the Manitoba RCMP and Winnipeg Police Service, travelled to Bloodvein First Nation to locate and arrest Isaiah Ford.
Ford, a 27-year-old male from Bloodvein First Nation, was wanted on seven outstanding warrants for a variety of offences, including: Assault, Aggravated assault, Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and Assault on police officer. He had previously fled from police multiple times and was actively evading arrest.
MIVOAU was assisted by RCMP officers from the following units: Powerview detachment, Emergency Response Team, Containment Team, Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (drone), Police Dog Service and Manitoba East District Crime Reduction Enforcement Suppose Team. In total, over 20 officers from the RCMP and WPS were in the community to assist with the search.
MIVOAU obtained entry warrants for two locations associated to Ford prior to attending the community. During the execution of the first entry warrant, Ford was located hiding inside the residence. He was arrested without incident.
Officers continued their work in the community and located and arrested three other violent offenders who had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
“This was a highly coordinated and complex police operation aimed at arresting the most violent and prolific offenders within the community,” said Inspector Shawn Pike, Officer in charge of the Manitoba RCMP Investigational Support Teams. “We know that this work will have an immediate and positive impact on the safety and security of all residents of Bloodvein First Nation and we thank Chief and Council for their support.”
