Manitoba RCMP Westman Traffic Services seize large quantity of drugs during traffic stop

On December 6, 2025, at approximately 3:20pm, Westman Traffic Services initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that had failed to slow down and move over while passing an officer who was conducting a traffic stop on Highway 1, west of Brandon.
An investigation lead to the arrest of the driver and her male passenger.
The subsequent search of the vehicle produced a total of 3 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 500g of crack cocaine, 500g of cocaine and a quantity of Canadian currency.
Meaghan Hermans, 28, from Camrose, Alberta, and Jonathon Anaquod, 32, from Melville, Saskatchewan, were remanded until a future court date and charged with the following:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking x2
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
Westman Traffic Services continue to investigate.
