Fisher Branch RCMP find parts of a stolen vehicle inside a trailer

On December 9, 2025, shortly after midnight, Fisher Branch RCMP were conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 17 in the RM of Fisher when an officer observed a vehicle towing an enclosed trailer travelling slowly on the road. Officers conducted a traffic stop immediately.

Officers learned that the female driver and the male passenger attended Peguis First Nation to pickup a car part. They were travelling back to Winnipeg.

Upon further inspection of the trailer, officers located multiple car parts for a white Dodge Challenger. Officers confirmed that some of the car parts belonged to a vehicle reported stolen from Winnipeg on November 25, 2025.

Officers also located a large amount of Canadian currency hidden inside a box concealed by a glove. The male passenger had in his possession, a large amount of Canadian currency and a significant amount of prescription drugs.

The driver, a 43-year-old female from Winnipeg, was arrested for Possession of property obtained by crime and released on an Undertaking with a pending court date.

The passenger, a 24-year-old male from Winnipeg, was arrested for Possession of property obtained by crime and Possession for the purpose of trafficking prescription drugs. He was released on an Undertaking with a pending court date.

Fisher Branch RCMP continue to investigate.
