Update: Flin Flon RCMP issue warrant of arrest for suspect wanted in theft

On February 5, 2026, at 3:40 am, Paul McIntyre turned himself in at the Flin Flon RCMP detachment. He was released pending a court date.

On January 31, 2026, at 3:20 pm, Flin Flon RCMP received a report that the large white door to the Flin Flon Snow Lodge, located in the campground, had been stolen earlier that morning.
Information provided to police was that the Snow Lodge held it’s grand opening the evening prior and at approximately 5:00 am, a suspect, driving a red colored Ford Bronco, entered onto the property and removed the door from the entrance to the Snow Lodge. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene.
The theft of this door was posted to a local social media page which led to several tips being called in to police.
Based on the investigation conducted and from tips received from the public, Flin Flon RCMP drafted a search warrant for a residence located on Inlet Arm Road in Schist Lake.
On February 2, 2026, Flin Flon RCMP executed the search warrant and located two doors, one of which had been stolen from the Snow Lodge. The owner of the property being searched was not located.
RCMP have issued a Warrant of Arrest out for 62-year-old Paul McIntyre who has been charged with Possession of property obtained by crime.
