On February 17, 2026, at 11:40 pm, Flin Flon RCMP responded to an address on Main Street in Flin Flon for a report of a possible assault.
Information was then provided to police that a 57-year-old male, from Flin Flon, had arrived at this location with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation determined that the male was awakened earlier by two of his roommates who began to assault him and rob him of his property.
He was then forced from this residence by the two roommates and taken to a home on Church Street where a third suspect became involved. The victim was assaulted at both locations.
The victim was able to eventually leave the residence on Church Street and make his way to the Main Street address where police were contacted. From this location, he was taken to hospital for treatment.
Officers then went to the victim’s residence where the initial assault and robbery took place. As the officers entered the home, the three suspects were observed inside, along with three other females, and were arrested without incident.
RCMP have charged Gary Gaudet, 56, of Nipawin, SK, Keith Saam, 45, and Darren Smith, 34, both of Flin Flon, with Kidnapping, Robbery, Uttering threats and Assault. All three accused were remanded into custody.
Flin Flon RCMP continue to investigate.
